The purpose of the scholarship is to assist with the first-year tuition for qualified Kirkland-area high school students who wish to enroll in a two-year or a four-year degree program at a college or university in Washington State. Selection will be based on the following:

  • Academic achievements

  • Community activities

  • School activities

  • Employment experience

We will award scholarships, each of $1500, to two qualified graduating students. The applicants must be U.S. citizens, live within Kirkland, WA or attend a Kirkland High School and be accepted to a 2-yr. OR 4-yr. degree program at a Washington State school accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (see http://www.nwccu.org/member-institutions/directory/ and filter by Washington for a list of accredited institutions offering baccalaureate degrees).

The scholarships will be paid to the college or university directly to the student’s account to help pay for tuition. Students receiving scholarships will need to provide a student ID number once received from their respective school, so we may deposit the funds into their account.

Completed applications and a certified copy of your current high school transcript must be received in the mail by the close of business March 31, 2022. Applications should be returned to the following address:
